The Government of India is the largest funder and provider of Education in India and partnering with the government has the potential to create scalable and systemic impact. Deeper engagement with government can enable investors to pool resources and maximise impact at scale. It will also augment investor knowledge about the sector and the investment landscape while creating space for creative solutions, leveraging on individual strengths.
This session will reflect on the journeys of different state governments as well as perspectives of implementing organisations and funders who have collaborated with governments. They will share how key initiatives can improve learning outcomes for stakeholders, successes and challenges from past reform efforts and their advice for multi-sector collaborations that lead to scalable and systemic improvement in education outcomes. The session will also focus on the potential for philanthropists, social investors, governments and social entrepreneurs to bridge the gap between policy and action.
